Tim McCune of Linear Integrated Systems has expanded sponsorship of the party so now the food served is truly amazing. The party brings together analog engineers, media people as well as marketing folks from analog- and power-centric companies. It also welcomes college professors and students.

The Preficionados party is at the same venue, just in the public restaurant to the left of the banquet hall. The seafood salad is great.
There is nothing formal or prepared about the Preficionados party. Just show up, I went at 9:30 to meet with my pal Ricardo. You can have a coffee and gab with other analog folks, and catch up with old friends that come in from out of town.

Unlike the actual Aficionados party later in the day, you have to pay for your food at the pre-party. Then again, nobody seems to mind if you just have a coffee or even just water.
